1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and JobLens ("JobLens," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using JobLens, including our website and any future mobile or desktop applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

JobLens is a job application tracking and preparation service provided through our website and may in future be provided through mobile or desktop applications. The Service currently provides:

  • Job application tracking and management
  • AI-powered CV/resume parsing and structuring
  • Automated generation of personalized cover letters and application materials
  • Job description analysis and suitability insights
  • Credit-based usage system with free and premium subscription tiers
  • Referral program for earning bonus credits

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

3.1 Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

3.3 Account Restrictions

One account per person - creating multiple accounts is prohibited. We use browser fingerprinting to detect and prevent duplicate accounts.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means without permission
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits

5. Subscription Tiers and Credits

5.1 Free Tier

  • Credits: 3 credits per month
  • Features: Access to all core features with credit limitations
  • Renewal: Credits reset monthly

5.2 Premium Tier

  • Credits: 50 credits per day
  • Features: Full access to all features with higher credit limits
  • Payment: Monthly subscription fee

6. Payment Terms

  • Premium subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscriptions automatically renew each month
  • Fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law
  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice

7. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your premium subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable
  • You may delete your account at any time

8. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before use
  • Ensuring content accurately represents you
  • Verifying all information before use

We are not liable for any consequences resulting from your use of AI-generated content.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content and functionality, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a license to use it to provide the Service.

10. Referral Program

Free tier users can refer friends to earn bonus credits. You earn 5 bonus credits when a referred friend signs up. Referrals must be genuine - abuse of the referral system may result in account suspension.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance or unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay subscription fees. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
